Saturday April 25, 2026 (ANZAC Day) | 6pm–late | Atlantis, Light Square, Adelaide | 2 rooms | Tickets via dancefloorheretics.com
Adelaide, SA — Dance Floor Heretics asked their community a simple question: more names on a lineup, or more time with each DJ? The answer was overwhelming — longer sets, deeper journeys. eXPEDITIONS is what they built from that feedback.
Landing at Atlantis on Light Square on ANZAC Day, Saturday April 25, eXPEDITIONS gives every DJ on the bill a full two-hour set across two rooms from 6pm until late. No quick-fire changeovers, no 45-minute sprint slots. Each selector gets the space to warm up the room, build tension, take risks, and tell a proper story without watching the clock.
Eight DJs, each getting two hours to take the dancefloor on a journey through house, progressive, trance, and melodic techno: BOF, GTB, Solace, James Corbett, Matty B, Kool T, LickNTouch, and Modular Wodular.
The concept is simple but the execution changes everything. A two-hour set is a fundamentally different experience to a one-hour slot — for the DJ and for the dancefloor. The DJ can start slow, let the first twenty minutes breathe, find where the room is at, and then build from there. The crowd can settle into the sound rather than constantly readjusting to a new selector every hour. The long blends hit different. The deep grooves actually have time to develop. By the time a DJ reaches their final thirty minutes, the room has been on a genuine journey together.
It’s a format that rewards people who arrive early and stay. If you walk in at midnight, you’ll catch the tail end of one expedition and the beginning of the next. If you’re there from 6pm, you’ll ride the full arc — multiple voyages, each one shaped by the room in real time.
Dance Floor Heretics ran the poll in their private Tribe group, and the result was clear. People miss the kind of nights where a DJ can explore without a time limit breathing down their neck. eXPEDITIONS is built on that, and they’re hoping it’s the start of a broader shift in Adelaide — events where artists get room to explore and dancers get time to properly lock in with the music.
Two rooms at Atlantis means two simultaneous expeditions running in parallel. Come early, have a drink, pick your room, and see where the music takes you. ANZAC Day long weekend means there’s no excuse to leave early.
