Friday October 2, 2026 | 10pm–5am | Electric Circus, 17 Crippen Pl, Adelaide | Tickets $25–$45 via Resident Advisor | 18+ | No phone policy on dancefloor
Adelaide, SA — This is the one. Doof Techno and The Front Room join forces to bring Kaufmann to Adelaide for the first time — Electric Circus on Crippen Place, Friday, October 2, from 10pm to 5am. Local support from Accent of Sound, Solace, Kelly S, Amorositie, and Naiadsol. Tickets via Resident Advisor. Early birds on sale now. The crew are calling it: this will be a capacity event.
Read that venue again. Electric Circus. 822 capacity. Doof Techno has spent over a year building a community at Ancient World — a room that holds maybe 150 people on a good night. Moving to Electric Circus isn’t just a venue change, it’s a statement. It says the audience they’ve cultivated for bush techno, psy techno, and dark minimal in Adelaide has outgrown the basement. And they’re doing it with a booking that justifies the scale.
Lisa Kaufmann is Berlin-based, a child of Germany’s rave scene who absorbed her energy in clubs, festivals, warehouses, and parties under motorway bridges. Her releases span an extraordinary roster of labels: Drumcode, Stil Vor Talent, Iboga, Truesoul, Senso Sounds, Subios, Alula Tunes, Spectrum, Volta, and Global Underground. Her sound ranges from techno to trance, always charged with psychedelic energy — exactly the kind of genre-fluid, psy-inflected techno that Doof Techno was built to showcase.
The connections run deeper than the booking. Kaufmann has collaborated in the studio with Oliver Huntemann — their track “K.O.” landed on Drumcode in July 2026 — and Front Room is the same crew bringing Huntemann to TIA LIVE on September 5, a month before this show. She’s also released on Senso Sounds (Huntemann’s own label) and Subios and Alula Tunes — the same labels where Doof Techno’s September headliner Koda releases. These aren’t coincidental overlaps; they’re threads in a shared musical ecosystem, and the fact that Doof Techno and Front Room are programming across that ecosystem shows both crews are paying serious attention to what’s happening in European techno right now.
Kaufmann is a regular at Berlin’s Fusion Festival and has featured on Drumcode Radio Live with a studio mix from Berlin. Standout tracks include “Banter” (Stil Vor Talent), “Portal” (Vision Serpent), “Unravel Me” (Senso Sounds), “Dark Phoenix” (Subios), and the Tuffi EP. She’s been producing since 2020 and has risen fast — currently described as one of the most in-demand bush techno acts in the world.
The local support is the Doof Techno and Front Room core: Accent of Sound, Solace, Kelly S, Amorositie, and Naiadsol — names that have appeared across both crews’ lineups throughout 2026. They’ll be warming up and holding down a room that’s roughly five times the size of what they’re used to at Ancient World. That’s a challenge and an opportunity in equal measure.
Seven hours, 10pm to 5am. No phone policy on the dancefloor carries over from the Ancient World events — and enforcing it at Electric Circus sends a message about the kind of night this is, regardless of the bigger venue. The booking is on Resident Advisor, not Triniq or Humanitix, which puts it in front of a national and international audience for the first time.
October 2 is shaping up as a monster night for Adelaide — Hospital Records’ 30th anniversary with Danny Byrd at Mala Mia runs the same evening. Two of the biggest bookings of the year, on the same Friday, across two venues. Choose your adventure.

About Doof Techno & The Front Room
Doof Techno and The Front Room have co-promoted before — most notably Tales of Techno with CJ Bolland and Thomas Schumacher at TIA LIVE in March. This time they’re scaling up together, moving Doof Techno’s no-phone, psy-inflected formula from the 150-cap Ancient World basement to 822-cap Electric Circus. A year of sold-out shows at Ancient World built the community. Kaufmann at Electric Circus is where that community meets the world.
