Saturday May 23, 2026 | 8pm–3am | Cosmos Club, 109 Waymouth St, Adelaide | Tickets from $20 + BF via Humanitix | 18+

Adelaide, SA — Adelaide is getting a dedicated hard house and hard trance night. Hard House Nation makes its debut at Cosmos Club on Waymouth Street on Saturday, May 23, with a 100% local lineup led by Dramatik (2-hour set) and Pete Maxwell, backed by residents Novakane, Permanence, Betterman, and Kaselow. Doors at 8pm, music until 3am. Tickets via Humanitix.

Hard house has been bubbling away without a proper home in Adelaide for a long time. There are nights that touch on it, sets that dip into it, but nobody’s planted a flag and said “this is the hard house night.” That’s what Hard House Nation is doing. A dedicated night for a sound that — if you scan their reference list of names like Andy Farley, Paul Glazby, Jon BW, K Series, Knuckleheadz, and Agent Jack — sits firmly in the lineage of UK hard house and hard trance that peaked in the late 90s and early 2000s and never really went away for the people who loved it.

Dramatik headlines with a two-hour set. His sound is clean and crisp hard house built on driving synths, aggressive hoovers, and deep rolling basslines — the kind of production that sounds like it was engineered in a lab for maximum dancefloor impact. Two hours gives him the space to stretch out and take the room through the full spectrum of what he does.

Pete Maxwell brings his own productions alongside a high-energy hard house set — melodic riffs and euphoric, hands-in-the-air moments. Between Dramatik’s precision and Pete Maxwell’s euphoria, the two headliners cover both sides of the hard house coin.

The resident lineup — Novakane, Permanence, Betterman, and Kaselow — represent the new wave that Hard House Nation is building around. Four selectors who’ll be showcasing the breadth of hard house and hard trance across the night, warming up and holding it down around the headline sets.

Cosmos Club is a solid venue for a launch like this. Waymouth Street, proper system, enough room to build energy without feeling empty early on. The 8pm-to-3am run gives the night seven hours to develop — early arrivals get the build, peak hours get the headliners, and there’s room for the kind of late-night crescendo that hard house does better than almost any other genre.

Whether you’re an oldschool raver who remembers what hard house floors felt like at their peak, or you’ve found the sound more recently through SoundCloud rabbit holes and YouTube archives, this is the night Adelaide’s been missing. Final release tickets are $20 + booking fee, with more on the door.
