Friday October 2, 2026 | 9pm–3am | Mala Mia, 268 Morphett St, Adelaide | Earlybird $40 | First release $45 | Second release $55 | 18+
Adelaide, SA — Hospital Records is turning 30, and the global anniversary tour is coming to Adelaide. AirDNB and TMRW present Hospitality30 at Mala Mia on Friday, October 2 with Danny Byrd, Unglued, and Hoax headlining, plus more support still to be announced. 9pm to 3am. Tickets on sale from 9am Wednesday August 12 via Ticket Fairy.
Hospital Records is one of the defining labels in drum and bass. Founded in London in 1996 by Tony Colman and Chris Goss, it built its reputation on the soulful, liquid, and dancefloor-friendly end of the genre at a time when DnB was being pulled in harder, darker directions. Over three decades, the label’s roster has included London Elektricity, High Contrast, Danny Byrd, Logistics, Nu:Tone, Netsky, S.P.Y., Metrik, and dozens more. The Hospitality club nights became an institution in their own right — one of the UK’s longest-running DnB event brands. Getting the 30th anniversary tour to Adelaide is a significant booking.
Danny Byrd is Hospital royalty. The Bath-based producer has been on the label since the mid-2000s and became one of its biggest crossover acts with tracks that merged DnB with rave, jungle, and UK garage influences. His productions are built for big rooms — euphoric, sample-heavy, and designed to make a dancefloor lose its collective mind. For a 30th anniversary celebration, he’s exactly the right headliner: someone who represents what Hospital sounds like at its most joyful and its most physical.
Unglued represents the newer wave of Hospital talent — a producer whose sound sits in the soulful, jazzy, sample-driven corner of the label’s catalogue. His production has drawn comparisons to the classic liquid DnB sound that Hospital helped define, updated for a generation that discovered the genre through Spotify playlists and SoundCloud rabbit holes rather than record shops and pirate radio.
Hoax adds another dimension. More support is still to be announced, which means the local lineup hasn’t been revealed yet — but given AirDNB’s track record of pairing international headliners with deep local support (the QZB + Charli Brix event had 15+ artists, VIBE Vol 2 ran ten hours of locals-only sets), expect the Adelaide DnB community to be well represented on the bill.
Mala Mia continues to be AirDNB’s venue of choice for their bigger bookings — the same room that hosted QZB + Charli Brix at Easter and the VIBE day parties. The indoor/outdoor configuration, the beer garden, and the sound system all suit a night that needs to run six hours and hold energy across multiple phases.
It’s been a while since Hospital Records touched down in Australia. Their 30th year wouldn’t be complete without celebrating with the global DnB family, and whether you’ve been there since the first London Elektricity album, joined along the way through Netsky or High Contrast, or are just discovering the Hospital catalogue now, this is a chance to be part of a label milestone in an intimate Adelaide venue rather than a festival tent.
