Origin II: CHOSEN — Whole-venue rave takeover announced for Easter Sunday at The Gov

Easter Sunday 5 April 2026 | 3:00pm–1:30am | The Gov (whole venue takeover) | Limited capacity

Adelaide, SA — [For immediate release]Origin II: CHOSEN has been announced for Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, delivering a whole-venue takeover of The Gov for an extended day-to-night session running 3:00pm to 1:30am.

Presented by Gareth Lott, the event is positioned as a reunion of the generation that helped build Adelaide’s dance and rave culture in the late 80s and early 90s — while also celebrating the artists who took inspiration from that era and carried the sound forward.

For many, the venue is part of the point. Sitting just minutes from the CBD, The Gov (built in 1848) is best known as one of Adelaide’s major live music rooms — and Origin II: CHOSEN will be its first full-scale rave/party takeover. The event will run across three stages, with two outdoor areas, four bars, food options, and plenty of space to roam.

The day opens with both outdoor areas in “beer garden meets beach club” mode — think tiki bar energy, catch-up photos, hugs, and an easy soundtrack built for daylight. As the sun drops, the Main Room, Club, and Balcony come online and the night shifts gears into full dancefloor mode.

Tickets are on sale now via a presale window for private group members, with public sales to follow. Capacity is limited.
