Doof Techno closes out its Summer Series with an all-local Homegrown finale at Ancient World

Adelaide, SA — [For immediate release] — Doof Techno wraps up its four-part Summer Series with Episode 4: Homegrown, a celebration of local talent at Ancient World on Hindley Street. Six selectors, six hours of bush techno and psy techno, strict no-phone dancefloor policy. Friday, March 27, 2026, from 9pm to 3am. Tickets are $20 + $2 booking fee via Triniq.

After three episodes that built the Summer Series into one of Adelaide’s most consistent underground techno programmes, the finale turns the spotlight entirely inward. The lineup is made up of artists who haven’t yet appeared on a Doof Techno bill, alongside a couple of up-and-comers the crew are tipping for bigger things: Krish, Kelly S, Ricky Garcia, Biggins, Amorositie, and Accent of Sound.

The musical brief is clear: a quality flow from bush techno into psy techno with a splash of hypnotic. If you know what Doof Techno does, you know the vibe. Earthy, driving, psychedelic, and built for people who came to dance, not to film it. The no-phone policy on the dancefloor isn’t a suggestion — it’s the rule, and it’s a big part of what makes these nights feel different from everything else happening on Hindley Street.

Ancient World is the right room for this. Small, dark, underground in every sense. The kind of space where bush techno actually makes sense indoors — where the low end hits the walls and comes back at you.
