Adelaide, SA — Ez Now and Ancient World are back with the Spring Mashup — another night of proper bassweight in the basement on Hindley Street. Eight selectors, seven hours, free entry if you’re through the door before 9pm. Saturday, September 5, from 8pm.
The lineup pulls names from across Adelaide’s bass music communities: Bennie Raw, Neuroses, Doubtless, R3LLA, Gunda G, Fiction, and Lottie B b2b LIS/n. If you’ve been following the events in this city through 2026, these names keep surfacing in different configurations — Fiction from 28 years of Inbound and the VIBE party at Mala Mia, Gunda G from the Inbound birthday and the May-Hem edition, Doubtless from the tOASt producers showcase at Low Life, Lottie B from the QZB + Charli Brix Easter event and LRD Sessions. The Spring Mashup throws them all into the same room under the Ez Now banner, and the result should be a set of selections that spans dubstep, garage, grime, footwork, juke, jungle, and DnB — the full multi-genre spread that Ez Now has made its signature.
The “mashup” framing is the right word. Ez Now parties don’t pick one lane — they let the selectors move between genres based on what the room needs. With eight DJs covering that much ground across a full evening, the transitions between styles become part of the experience. One selector’s deep dubstep giving way to another’s jungle, which gives way to someone else’s footwork — the constant genre-shifting keeps the energy unpredictable in a way that single-genre nights can’t match.
Ancient World remains one of the best rooms in Adelaide for bass-first music. The basement acoustics reward low-end weight, and at the capacity Ez Now runs, the room fills quickly and the energy stays concentrated. Free entry before 9pm continues to be the right pricing model — it gets people through the door early and commits them to the full night rather than showing up at midnight.
That graffiti-style artwork — chrome lettering, blue and orange heat-map textures — is the most visually aggressive poster in the Ez Now catalogue. It matches the energy: raw, loud, and unapologetic about being a bass music night in a basement.
