AirDNB’s VIBE returns to Mala Mia for a ten-hour locals-only drum and bass day party

Saturday August 22, 2026 | 4pm–2am | Mala Mia, Morphett St, Adelaide | First release $25 (running low) | Final release $30 | Double pass $40 | 200 presale cap | 18+

Adelaide, SA — The first VIBE party earned the name. Now AirDNB is back at Mala Mia for VIBE Vol 2 — ten hours of drum and bass from 4pm to 2am on Saturday, August 22. Long sets, maximum vibes, all local talent, no international headliner. This is a proper party, not a guest performance. Presale capped at 200 tickets via Ticket Fairy — earlybirds are gone, first release at $25 is running low, and 30% of venue capacity sold out in the first four days.

The philosophy is right there in the name and the format. VIBE isn’t about bringing in one or two overseas headliners and building a night around them. It’s about giving Adelaide’s own selectors the space to play long sets and letting the collective energy of the room build across ten hours. The result is a different kind of night — one where the music evolves organically rather than resetting every time a new name steps up to the decks.

Seek N Destroy headlines with a 90-minute set. Their last headline show for AirDNB sold out in advance, and they’re the kind of act that rewards the extended format — ninety minutes is enough time to take a room on a genuine journey rather than just dropping highlights. MPK plays a vinyl classics DnB set, and Noddy + Fiction go back-to-back on vinyl — two selectors who’ve been in Adelaide’s DnB scene long enough to have crates worth digging into. Fiction, of course, is the same Fiction behind 28 years of Inbound — when he goes vinyl, you’re hearing selections curated over three decades.

The rest of the lineup is stacked with tag-team pairings: Kirana + Rusha, SNOWH!TE + Neisha, Jane Doe + TinkerBel, plus solo sets from HyperFixate and Jayar. MCs Pab, G-Swift, and Ess Bee rotate across the night — tag-team MC sessions with the collective smashing out long sets together.

Mala Mia’s indoor/outdoor setup — the same venue that hosted the QZB + Charli Brix Easter Sunday event — suits the day-to-night format. Start in the beer garden at 4pm with drink specials (five Coronas in a bucket for $30, two-for-one martinis including espresso), grab tacos, ease into the afternoon vibe. As the sun goes down, the energy shifts inside and the night takes over. Ten hours gives the room time to develop through multiple phases — afternoon warmth, sunset transition, late-night intensity.

AirDNB has been on a remarkable run in 2026 — A Day At The Beach with Felix Da Housecat and Grooverider, Ant TC1’s 25 Years of Dispatch, QZB + Charli Brix, and Craze + Krafty Kuts coming in July. But VIBE is the counterpoint to all of that: no internationals, no big-name draw, just Adelaide’s local DnB community given the space and time to do what it does best. The fact that it’s selling faster than some of the international shows tells you everything about where AirDNB’s audience is at.
